I just finished reading most of the new version. Some parts were a little over my head, but what I truly loved about this book, in addition to learning an awful lot about an awful lot, is that it’s real. I mean it isn’t like others (such as The Secret and Law of Attraction) that tell you “you can do it…it’s simple”. This book explains what’s involved, exactly what you need to do, and why you need to do it that way. It’s the first book I’ve ever seen that’s like this.
It took me a while to get through most of it, and I don’t understand all of it, but I recommend it to anyone who wants to know about the nature of life and how to make your future brighter…with no bull.
I wanted to chime in on the comment of Harry R, I have the latest version, and I am about 75% done. I peeked at the last chapter and this makes me want to get through all the material first (if I can).
I totally agree with those comments. I hope and expect it will help me make my dreams come true, but in the meantime, it has taught me a lot more about a lot of things I probably should know. Fascinating indeed!
I’m just about through chapter eight and I’m really enjoying the book! I’ve always been an armchair scientist–my profession is somewhat unrelated: I’m a painter of fantasy and faerie images! However, I’ve always known in my gut that somehow the mystics were right, and that science and spirituality would be connected someday. To my astonishment I am still on this earth to see the birth of it happening! At last, a voice of reason and wisdom on a subject that needs to be vigorously explored if we humans are to ever become enlightened! I want to thank you for writing this book and for opening this door in such a clear and understandable way. I hope you are being taken seriously by those in both the spiritual and scientific community (although I see you are going to be speaking in MA soon, bravo and my best wishes for many more appearances!). I look forward to finishing–I’m restraining myself from peeking at the last chapter–I want to absorb every last little detail!
Hi There Janice,
First, thanks for blogging and sharing your thoughts. I greatly appreciate your insight about the book and the confluence of science and spirituality. I am delighted that you are following it all; I guess that’s the “armchair scientist” in you. The new version, which will be out in about 6-8 weeks gives a much simpler presentation of the same material for folks who are not as interested in the details. I am anxious to hear how you like the rest of the material (I hope you don’t get bogged down), and particularly, how Chapter 13 affects you.
Perhaps most of all, I appreciate your enthusiasm for the book. Although it’s a far cry from a best-seller, I am developing a small readership that is, I hope, becoming a movement. Heaven knows we need some changes in this world of ours.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and feel free to do so on Amazon, B&N, etc. as others have. Comments and feedback really helps new readers.
Let me know if you have any questions.
And, yes, to a bright future,
Thanks for responding so quickly to my first post! I’ve actually got the older version of your book, and I’m fascinated by everything you talk about. Some of it I remember from school, but some is new and some is difficult to understand. It hasn’t stopped me, though. I’ve been reading everything from the endnotes to the glossary, as I’m curious by nature. “Ordaining Reality” is now listed as one of my favorite books on all of my social network sites (I belong to quite a few) to help spread the word! I’m hoping the theory becomes a “grass-roots movement” and that others will get the message of the “observer created universe.” That’s what I’m predicting for the book! However, I think Oprah should be pushing the book! Maybe the new version?
It might also interest you to know that I found out about your book from an unlikely source, a friend of mine who said he was “reading a book that he would not ordinarily pick up,” but that he started reading it because he met you! I will write you personally about this association, but I’ve always believed things happen for a reason, “synchronicity,” or “when the student is ready the teacher appears.” These ideas have always been part of my belief system, and as such, I believe because I was on this path already, the book was bound to find its way to me. I’m glad it appeared sooner rather than later!
I do have a few questions, however. As I wrote before, I am almost through chapter eight, and so these questions might be premature. My questions are these: Are you saying that things that the observer creates must obey the natural laws of nature? For a simple example, I could not create a dragon because it cannot exist within the Newtonian-Maxwellian laws of physics? However, people who claim they have seen other beings while on vision quest probably have seen them if they are tuned into a higher level of consciousness, or rather in terms of QM, able to collapse the wave function at will? (Can one collapse the wave function at will or is it done for you by acculturation?) And if things can only exist according to the natural laws of nature (in the physical world), isn’t this just semantics then? In other words, I can only create what exists already. Am I restricted by the collective unconscious because “they” might not want a dragon even if I do?
Also, the people who have “seen things” that no one else can see, the so called insane or the “religiously fanatic” as you mentioned in your book to some degree–your ideas give these happenings a whole new perspective, however, it begs the question, where do we draw the line as to what is real, or should a line even be drawn?
I think I’ll leave it there for now. I’m sure I’ll have more questions as I get deeper into the book.
In any case, thanks so much for writing “Ordaining Reality.” I’m so glad this theory is now out there, and hopefully it will gain momentum. Have you had much response from the scientific community? I know the metaphysical community will respond with open arms, as this is something I think we’ve all been curious about for years.
Thanks for your questions; they are excellent. There’s a bit here, so let me address them as they were written. For the first question, and I do get into this somewhat in later chapters, I’ll start by stating that nothing exists in and of itself, including dragons. All that is, including you and me, is vibration. First, something must vibrate to be real; second, the vibration of an entity must be interpreted by a conscious mind to render the entity as real to the observer. Therefore, something can be a dragon to you. To me, it may be a carrot, or a rock, or a brontosaurus. All of these things I just mentioned can exist within the Newtonian-Maxwellian laws of physics.
People who claim they have seen other beings while on a vision (if they are being truthful) have seen them because their consciousness has rendered them real to them (as you say, in QM terms, they collapsed the wave function with their consciousness). Next you ask if one can collapse the wave function at will? Yes, most definitely, with training. This activity is also done for members of society by the collective consciousness that we call “acculturation”.
Actually, anything, according to QM, can exist within the natural laws of nature (yes, even in the physical world). Finally, you can create that which doesn’t exist; in fact, that is the entire premise of the book. You create a future that doesn’t now exist.
Your last question: “Where do we draw the line as to what is real, or should a line even be drawn?” is one for the ages. Eastern thought (and right hemisphere) would say no line should be drawn. Western Science (and left hemisphere) would draw a clear line.
You may want to mull these answers, and then fire back more to satisfy your initial questions. I think it’s a safe bet that you will have more questions as you get deeper into the book.
Hey, just checking in. I’m re-reading some parts and practicing the meditation. I understand that a new, simpler version will be available soon. That’s good, but I think that all the readers of the original (will that still be sold?) are to be rewarded for, at least in my case, spending about three months with the book. It’s a bit dog-eared by now, with a lot of pages folded and a lot of highlighted text, but I’m glad I stayed with it.
I also gained from the question asked and the answer given a couple of weeks ago. I’m going to bounce some pieces of this off of a physicist friend of mine and see what he says. I’ll pass that on.
I have a question about life after death. I take it from what you say in this book that a person’s spirit is one with the universe and is both effected by and contributes to what you call “universal consciousness”. If that is so, does the spirit live on after death? I mean it seems to according to what you say about waves being infinite and instantaneous, but how does the spirit of a dead person create new thoughts?
I always wondered this. Looking forward to your answer.
Thanks for your blog entry and previous ones. This is both an excellent question and one that I have been asked often. First let me say that I don’t have all the answers; however, I try to make sure that my answers are consistent with all the disciplines I study, which is a bit time-consuming, but, I believe, well worth the effort. With that in mind, here is my response.
I believe that as long as our brain system (which includes many parts including the spinal cord and perhaps the heart) is generating waves, we are one with what I call The Universal Consciousness. That is, we are getting information from and contributing to this gigantic cosmic database of thoughts, emotions, desires, etc. while we are clinically alive. This information will remain forever and be available to all. However, I believe that once we are no longer among the living, we will cease sending forth and receiving thoughts. Given this position, if we have a love one that feels our presence after we are gone, it may be that they are tuning into the consciousness vibrations that we created while alive, and in that sense they are with us and a part of us is with them, just as a picture, a note or a DVD of us would resonate with them…only much deeper. As an example, I have had vivid dreams of my father, who died thirty years ago. In many of these dreams he has given me excellent advice which I have heeded, but, as I reflected on it I realize that it is what he would have said to me thirty years ago, or what I would want him to say now. I believe that I am tuning into his consciousness, but he is no longer generating new thoughts. This would be consistent with explanations of reincarnation, Jung’s concept of the collective mind and archetypes, séances, deeds of folks like Cayce and John of God, etc. Again, I am not the last word on this or any topic, but this answer is consistent with the paradigm of nature I present and is not inconsistent with any theory of souls being connected of which I am aware. I hope this helps to answer your question. I recommend that you also seek this answer elsewhere.
Again, thanks for the inquiry; I’ve already had another reader email me that this questions was on her mind as well.
I LOVE your tongue-in-cheek T-shirt idea. Yes, all the faithful and persistent readers of the current, unabridged version (and all future readers of it) are to be congratulated and commended. As some have offered, it is a slog to get through it all, but I can’t imagine how to explain how nature works in many less pages. And this is important to know if you truly want to influence the future. Frankly, the only way the new version can do that is by referencing the one all of you have read. Given this, you and all readers to date are the pioneers. Say, aren’t pioneers the ones with the arrows in their backs, or more appropriately in this case, the headaches in their brains? Hey that could be another T-shirt slogan…“Ordaining Reality Pioneer”–we have the arrows in the brain to prove it). Of course, I’m not so sure that these are great marketing techniques, but I guess truth in marketing is a good thing…
Hey, thanks so much for the plug on Facebook. I am so out-of-touch with that technology. It was set up by my 15 year-old, so I better go figure out how to use it. I am just barely comfortable with the blog…
Thanks again for your ideas, questions and support. Keep those thoughts coming and may the blog be with you…
Thank you for that answer. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I am a bit disappointed that spirits don’t live on forever, but I must agree with your logic.
I also appreciate that there is this great blog to chime in on and get some answers.
BTW, a friend, who I showed this book to, was asking me when the new, smaller version is coming out. Is there a timetable?
Hi.
I am a bit more than half way. Wanted to write in to say how much I am enjoying this challenge. It’s a task to take it all in. I feel like I’m back in school sometimes, but it’s definitely a unique book. My mind is open (beginner’s mind?). I hope I can understand the rest of the chapters. I peeked at and scanned the last chapter, but felt I was cheating a bit.
I’ll check the blog from time to time to keep up.
Troy
Hi new reader, first blog.
First, kudos for the book. I am open to new ideas and this certainly pushes that envelope to the max for me. I like that, but I’m still taking it in and will reserve final judgment until the end. Someone wrote that every page opens up a new idea; I will echo that. I think I’m going through it faster than others as I just started reading it three weeks ago and I’m now starting the last chapter.
One thing (well actually many), but for now one thing, does this book support or deny the existence of God? I got a mixed message from it on that front. For the record, I believe in a Supreme Being, but don’t let that color your answer if you respond.
Eddie Mac
Response to H. Richie…thank you for the inquiry; the new, abridged version (about 335 pages or so) will be out in about 6 weeks I’m told..
I’ll announce the date as soon as the publisher gives it to me.
First, sorry for my delay (computer problems of all things). Second, welcome to the blog.
I am glad to hear you are enjoying the challenge. I certainly didn’t want to make the book a tough read; I tried to present this material as high-level as possible, but based on the feedback from 100’s of readers, it has been a bit of effort for some. The thing is, there is an understanding that must be gained, and one that must be dismantled. This takes many pages to accomplish both objectives. Those readers who persevered, I am pleased to say, have reported that they gained a great deal. Many, it’s almost humorous to report, feel a sort of badge of honor to which future readers of the simpler book may not lay claim. In truth, the book you are reading will stay in print and continue to go through new editions. This is what allows the simpler book to be just that…simpler. It references the more technical parts to the original, unabridged copy.
Some readers, certainly all physicists and those with a scientific bent, would only want to read the unabridged version. From the considerable feedback I have received, the new version will be chosen several-fold.
BTW, I think it’s a good idea, as you say, to check the blog from time to time to keep up. Let me know what you think when you get closer to the finish line.
In response to Eddie Mac:
First, thanks for blogging in.
Second, I see that you are open to new ideas. Excellent; that is a pretty much a requirement for readers of this book! Joking aside, I’m glad to read that this pushes the envelope for you. I am anxious to read your final verdict. I’m guessing that won’t be too long as you are making good progress.
Third, let me try to address your excellent question: “does this book support or deny the existence of God”? I apologize if you got mixed messages from it; however, I suspect it is because I tried to avoid this topic. I respect that you believe in a Supreme Being; obviously some other readers do not. This is an individual choice and this subject is not an area of expertise for me. However, what I can and will say is this: The concept that a Supreme Being could be omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all powerful), omnipresent (everywhere at once), and timeless (i.e., always was and always will be) contravenes the laws within The Standard Model (which is the status quo of physics today). That is why science and religion are constantly at odds. The Standard Model faces other issues, some of which I describe in the book. Not the least of which is support that thoughts have an ability to change the course of the future, which, of course, is the premise of my book. The paradigm of nature I lay out in this book fully supports both the concept of thoughts changing matter and an all-powerful God. If God exists, then that Deity would, by the very definition of the laws I present in this book, have the ability to be everywhere at once and in touch with everything and everyone at all times whenever the [mortal] entity was open to receive His vibration…this is precisely the definition of consciousness as presented in the book.
Thus my book gives a scientific explanation for the existence of God; however, I am not qualified to use this as proof of His existence. I leave that to others. I hope that sheds some light, and in the very least, clarifies my position as “scientifically plausible” if you will.
Again, thanks for blogging in; let me know if you have further thoughts or further questions.
BTW: cool name.
Hi,
I checked in a few times (I guess that’s how it works). I’m glad I checked in again. Thanks for the answer. In the meantime I reread what you had said in the book and I agree, you don’t take a position. However, I’m glad I asked because your answer sheds a lot more light on this topic. I think you are on to something and maybe someone else with a background in Theology or something like that will take it from there.
I’m sure I’ll have other questions.
Yeah on the name it’s a nickname since forever.
Just wanted to say that many bloggers have been asking questions that were on my mind. I like this interaction. The answers have helped me a lot. BTW, I read through the book and I am practicing the exercises in Chapter 13. I really feel that I am in control.
One thing, not really a question per se, is this. I am often asked by friends to explain to them how nature works so that thoughts can actually change events. I know the book explains this in detail. I think I understood it when I read it, but try as I may, I never seem to be able to explain it to my friends. I know this is probably a dumb question, but can you provide a one or two paragraph answer that sums this up so that dummies like me can explain it?
Karen W.
Hi Karen Winston,
I’m glad you’re benefitting from the blog. That’s its purpose, and thanks to readers like you it seems to be working.
You ask a tough question. It’s too late to get into tonight, but I will sincerely try to answer it this week. One thing, please, please don’t consider any questions as dumb. There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers. So blame me if I don’t get it right.
Thanks for blogging and all your great comments.
Joe Donlan
You asked a tough question, but I am so glad you did. It got me thinking about how to condense about 75 pages of the new book which is coming out in about six weeks (and about 125 pages of the copy you have) down to two or three paragraphs. So here goes…
Many people believe in the Power of Positive Thinking, but no one has succeeded in credibly explaining how mere thoughts can tangibly influence physical nature and/or alter future occurrences. To explain the connection, this book presents a new paradigm of nature and couples it with a convincing explanation of how our right brain hemisphere has a unique capacity to tap into the hidden domain of the metaphysical. To support this premise, the reader is lightly exposed to the divergent worlds of physics and metaphysics and is then introduced to a new view of nature that undeniably links mind to matter.
Within this new perspective the idea that matter exists and that non-material concepts like ideas, emotions, thoughts, etc. do not is completely reversed. The author makes a compelling case that all that exists in both the physical and metaphysical worlds is vibration. The essence of the theory is this: vibrations come in two varieties, circular and straight-line. Circular vibrations attach to themselves (by definition) and comprise what science presently deems as the physical world. They occupy a location in space. Straight-line vibrations travel infinitely fast and infinitely far. They comprise the world of the metaphysical as they do not occupy a location in space. Straight-line vibrations can only be detected when they impinge on circular vibrations. Thus, metaphysical vibrations exist, influence matter, influence events, but remain undetected until they do so.
It takes about 75 pages of the book to describe precisely how this fascinating discovery operates in the real world. Important to its charge, this new paradigm makes the case that the future can only be created with thoughts. In the final analysis, the author brings his readers through the necessary steps to put this knowledge to work to help them create their own realities.
I hope this helps; please let me know. Now that I’ve written it, I may use this summary elsewhere.
Good luck with the results from the exercises in Chapter 13.
Thanks for blogging in. Sorry I am a bit late responding. To answer your question: Yes, by all means. I greatly welcome your friend’s thoughts and feedback. As is the case with all readers I can also be reached at: Joe@OrdainingReality.com for a private dialogue about the book. Several readers have done exactly that. Some feel exposed by asking a question on the blog; some just don’t like blogs in general. I respond to a number of emails from readers every week at this email address…about 50/50 I’d say between the blog and there. Also, when it seems to me an answer or a question could benefit others as well I ask the reader if they’d like to post it on the blog for others to view. Several have; so this works very well. I look forward to your friend’s questions or comments.
I bought this book about a month ago and started reading it last weekend. I’m actually mostly through it, but skipped over all the italics and most of the more scientific parts. My take? Ambitious, fascinating, and thought-provoking – not many can take on Einstein and get away with it. I’m curious? Have any of the experimental predictions it makes been tested? Also, is the new book different or just a shortened version of this?
Chris P.
Thanks for blogging in. I apologize for the delay, although it has something to do with one of your questions about the new version.
You asked if any of the experimental predictions the book makes been tested? Not that I am specifically aware. I suspect that may take several years. One thing the book states is that the Higgs Boson (at least in its current expected form) will not be discovered. As you probably know, the branch of particle physics is poised to find this elusive particle with the expected startup of the massive Large Hadron Collider in Europe late this summer. In addition to finding the Higgs Boson, this huge accelerator will test other hotly debated theories with new experimental data. For my part, I am interested in what it finds (or doesn’t find) regarding mass and the mysterious dark matter that allegedly makes up most of the mass in the universe. I hold that my theory is correct; therefore, they will not find this particle. We’ll find out soon. I will let readers know about other findings and predictions. The important thing to keep in mind, especially for readers who do not care that much about physics, is that the mechanics of my theory pale in comparison to the realization that my proposed model supports that hopes, prayers and thoughts tangibly alter physical entities and measurably affect events. Remember, you cannot Ordain Reality under the current set of physicist rules (aka The Standard Model). That is why it is critical that this reining paradigm is shown to be in error.
Your second question is easier. The new book, which will go on sale in mid- to late- May, is a digest of the unabridged version all readers have thus far read. It is a new book, but its intent is the same. It was designed to offer this information to a much wider audience. It has the same information in about 170 less pages, and it is presented for those who do not want to know a great deal about the details, but enough to learn how to influence their futures in a positive way. Oh, and it’s also about $12 cheaper…
I hope this answers your excellent questions. Keep on bloggin’.
Hi Lonny,
Thanks for trying to find it and for your interest. No, you are not doing anything wrong. The smaller, simpler (abridged) version won’t be available at Amazon, B&N and Borders until the end of May. The original (unabridged) appeals to folks who have a scientific bent and/or really want to see under-the-hood so to speak. If you want a lighter treatment of the subject matter that explains how thoughts actually change events and instructions how to use this knowledge, I would wait. Thanks for your interest and feedback. The web developers are updating the website so that will be clearer soon. I hope you get it and I greatly look forward to your feedback.
Hi Chris P,
Thanks. Yes, it definitely wouldn’t quality as an airplane novel…more like a “balloon ride across the US book”. All joking aside, that’s one reason I developed the shorter (abridged) one. Not everyone has the time to learn all that is needed, but this information is essential if you truly want to influence the future.
Keep blogging; the feedback is helpful for other readers and me.
Please check the website; there will be a notice under the new book.
Please keep in mind that the original, which many people prefer as it delves very deeply into the physics and metaphysics, is available and will be offered for years.
The new, shorter, simpler one will be out in about two weeks. Thank you for your patience.
One general message:
I’ve received emails on my email account (Joe@OrdainingReality.com) asking for clarification about the new versus old book. Here’s the deal:
The original will continue to be sold and updated as significant new information comes along any of the fronts that this book discusses. Although it is intended for those with a scientific bent or deep interest in metaphysics and science, it is quite readable. Many readers who have no background in physics have provided very good feedback stating that they followed it in most parts. Although it’s not for everyone, this unabridged version of the book hovers in the top 100 in sales for “non-fiction-metaphysics” books…not that that’s a huge audience, but there are nearly 15,000 titles in that genre. The new book was developed to appeal to many more folks who have an interest, but want a digest of the information rather than all the proofs.
I hope this further clears it up, but please continue to either email me or blog me if you have more questions on this or any related topic.
FYI, I didn’t see a notice on the blog, but I did see that Amazon is listing the new shorter version as coming soon and allows you to sign up to be notified when it becomes available. I signed up by email, so I guess I’ll find out that way. I just put in your name on the search and the book came up. I’ll blog in when they notify me. BTW, how much is it?
Lonny
Hi Lonny,
Thanks for the heads-up. I didn’t see your blog entry until now. What’s funny is that, I looked yesterday (perhaps before you did), but I didn’t see it listed. It’s there now at Amazon and Barnes and Noble, and it’s available (maybe you already know that from their email).
I look forward to your comments when you read it.
Just bought the new one today, no problem finding it on Amazon…didn’t try B&N. It was recommneded by a friend who read the original version. He gave it a big endorsement. Let you know what I think when I read it.
Kristin
I got halfway through the simplified one in one day. My friend said it took him a month to get that far with the original unabridged one! I told him I’m a genius. I know it’s not about how fast I’m reading it; it just that he didn’t believe me. Anyway, what’s more important is that I’m following it, it makes sense and it’s a blast learning all this stuff. I’ll probably finish it this week if I don’t get sidetracked with something else. I hope it stays this good.
KD
I don’t know if I am the first to do so, but I’m here to say I read it cover-to-cover in three days!
I’m overwhelmed (in a good way) with all that I learned and the insight I have gained about how thoughts create real events, or at least how they have the potential to do so. I will practice the drills in Chapter 11. Maybe I’ll be the first one to do an online write up, as I didn’t see any yet.
My sincere apologies. I really thought I had already responded to your blog, but I don’t see my reply.
So here it is…first thanks for purchasing the book, and more important, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Finally, I did go on Amazon and saw your review. Excellent! thanks. So you and your boyfriend can now talk about it; that’s truly great. I want to be kept posted.
Where do you folks live (I mean like what city, not the actual address of course)?
Hi,
I feel out of touch. I just finished the original which I bought in December. Fascinating stuff in it and, although it took me a chunk of time to finish, I really enjoyed it. I wonder if all the theories will turn out to be correct, but it certainly makes sense to me. I know that at least I now have a theory and belief that thoughts can actually change the outcome of future events. Although it was a bit pricy, this is a keeper. It’s a book I’ll read again and share. Is the new version essentially the same, just shorter, or is it an entirely different book?
R. Hinske
Hi Ross,
Thanks for blogging in and sharing your thoughts. No need to apologize. it’s a good thing to see inquiring minds reading and responding to the original version.
As a quick answer…I’ve also covered this in some other blog responses, the new version is essentially a condensed version of the original. The material in both books is constantly being updated as there are new findings, so the latest version does have some new twists, but they are minor.
Please blog in again and let me know how it’s working for you.
Hi,
Finished the book last night and just started the “program”. Boy, I don’t know where to start. I wrote a review in B&N today (where I bought the book). It was fun, interesting, thought-provoking, and, I hope, useful for making dreams come true (I’ve got a lot of high hopes). Just thought I’d chime in on the blog too.
Hi Warren,
Welcome to the blog. I just checked B&N; thank you so much for your kind excerpt. I know this may sound self-serving, but I entirely agree with your comments and insight. I thank you for buying the book, but even more so for your useful feedback. In my mind, the blog is the one of the most effective forums for readers wondering what the book is all about, and more important, if it’s for them.
Thank you again for helping to guide others, and please keep us informed on how it is working for you.
I am a reader of the newer, smaller book. It’s what I’ve been looking for to arm me for debates with people who think there is nothing to the world of the paranormal. I argue with my ex boyfriend all the time about this. He became a convert once I showed him your book. I posted a write up of this account on Amazon. This was so refreshing to get an actual answer and response.
I thought I had answered your blog, but I think I did it via email. I’ll respond again to share this with others. First, thanks for the wonderful post on Amazon; they are very helpful and appreciated. Second, I am delighted that your boyfriend (I hope he still is) is or is becoming a convert. Welcome him to the enlightened side. Third, I encourage any more feedback from either of you as it is truly enjoyable for me and helpful to others reading the blog to get readers thoughts and experiences.
I just wanted to say how much I am learning. I’m about halfway through the “simplified” book. Boy, the other one must have been for geniuses! However, I’m following it and I really do see where it’s going. I’ll probably write up something when I’m done. There’s nothing like this anywhere from what I can tell. Is there?
T. King
Thanks for the blog comments. I appreciate your feedback. Actually, the other book, i.e., the original, is not a great deal more complex than the one you are reading; it’s just much bigger being over 500 pages. Your version is about 170 pages less. I know there is a lot of information in even this shorter version. I have had that feedback from many readers; that is why I am underway with a third, very simplified version which is slated at 199 pages. This is only possible because it references the first two. This trilogy will give readers three choices, very complete, complete, but abridged, and highly-simplified. I suspect that the newest one (Ordaining Reality in Brief: The Shortcut to your Future) will sell the most as it will not require any background in science at all; it will also be quite inexpensive).
Many readers will still opt for the original and the one you are reading as those versions explain the principles in more detail, which is what many readers want.
Keep me and other bloggers posted on how you are doing with this edition.
I’ve been working on the meditations suggested in your book, but I have some questions about the specificity of envisioning one’s future reality. 1) Why shouldn’t one be too specific about envisioning one’s future reality? Does it constrict chi or something? 2) If you start to get specific pictures, should you let them flow or try to change them?
As usual, you have excellent questions. Here are my answers to both; I’ll start with the first: 1) “Why shouldn’t one be too specific about envisioning one’s future reality?
The general advice is this…when you envision something broader, more generic, if you will, you open up more channels to make the link. When you envision something specific, you limit your responses to your wishes. Let me give you two examples, the first is more specific to something you mentioned another time that you were interested in doing; my second example is quite general. For the first, imagine that you want to produce an illustrated novella that is successfully received. To make that happen, you should envision all aspects of your life as if that has already happened. For example, you could imagine being on shows talking about it, answering blogs from readers, getting checks from your publisher, seeing your book in print, learning about people’s positive experience reading it, etc. Conversely, you should not be too specific or restrictive in your focus, such as imagining that Harper Collins published it and gave you a $25,000 advance. Here’s a second, much shallower but perhaps easier to understand example: Say a man wanted to have a certain attractive woman notice him and begin a relationship with him. He could specifically focus on all aspects of that happening as I have explained in the book, and he would indeed increase the odds that that would happen. However, keeping in mind that the flow of energy adheres to the principle of reciprocity, if that particular woman had no interest whatsoever in that man, his wish would not come to fruition. However, if he focused on having a fulfilling relationship with an attractive woman (following the guidelines for meditation in the book), he would open up all the channels. In doing so, all women who were seeking a man with his attributes would be on his wavelength, so to speak. Then the likelihood of encountering his ideal would be much greater.
Now, your second question: If you start to get specific pictures, should you let them flow or try to change them? No, absolutely you should go with the flow. If you want something very specific, such as the two examples I gave, and it seems that you are attracting exactly that…by all means, let it happen. Sometimes the best match is very specific. However, keep in mind that a single target requires more precision.
I have had readers tell me they got exactly what they focused on; others reported that their dreams were answered in a more oblique way, but, in the end, this is what they really wanted.
I hope those answers make sense and help you recah your dreams.
Thank you for sharing those questions with other readers.
That answer was helpful to me. I reread chapter 11 this weekend after reading your answer, and I got even more out of it the second time. I know that making the future happen is the most important purpose or message in the book, but I also find that the exercises, which I do every night, relaxes me so much. I had a lot of worry and a fair amount of anger (mostly aimed at my ex). I dropped them both and am making great strides.
Thanks for blogging again and sharing your thoughts.
When you wrote “that answer was helpful to me” did you mean my initial reply to you or the answer I recently gave to Janice?
BTW; you are right in that the exercises do make many readers have a happier outlook just by the meditation and instructions.

Commnents anyone?

Hi Joe!

Hi Joe!
To a Bright Future!

All the best,
Joe

I have a question about life after death. I take it from what you say in this book that a person’s spirit is one with the universe and is both effected by and contributes to what you call “universal consciousness”. If that is so, does the spirit live on after death? I mean it seems to according to what you say about waves being infinite and instantaneous, but how does the spirit of a dead person create new thoughts?
I always wondered this. Looking forward to your answer.

Hi Harry R.,
Thanks for your blog entry and previous ones.
Keep those questions coming.

Hi Janice,
I LOVE your tongue-in-cheek T-shirt idea.

Hi Troy,
First, sorry for my delay (computer problems of all things).

Hi Karen,
You asked a tough question, but I am so glad you did.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for blogging in.

Thanks,
I’ll keep an eye out for information on this too. Great book, but definetly not an “airplane” novel.

Hey. tried to find new, shorter book on Amazon and B&N. Not there. Seems like this one is more suited to me. Is it out? Do I have title right?

Hi Lonny,
Thanks for trying to find it and for your interest.

I think I’ll wait for that one as I don’t have that much background in physics.
Do I just keep checking the blog?

To L. Parker,
Please check the website; there will be a notice under the new book.

Hi Lonny,
Thanks for the heads-up.

Hi,
I got halfway through the simplified one in one day.

Hi Kristin,
My sincere apologies.

Hi Ross,
Thanks for blogging in and sharing your thoughts.

Welcome him to the enlightened side. Third, I encourage any more feedback from either of you as it is truly enjoyable for me and helpful to others reading the blog to get readers thoughts and experiences.

Hi Terry,
Thanks for the blog comments.

Hi Joe–
I’ve been working on the meditations suggested in your book, but I have some questions about the specificity of envisioning one’s future reality. 1) Why shouldn’t one be too specific about envisioning one’s future reality? Does it constrict chi or something? 2) If you start to get specific pictures, should you let them flow or try to change them?
Thanks so much for your reply in advance.
Good energy,

Hi Janice,
Thank you for blogging again.
Regards

That answer was helpful to me. I reread chapter 11 this weekend after reading your answer, and I got even more out of it the second time. I know that making the future happen is the most important purpose or message in the book, but I also find that the exercises, which I do every night, relaxes me so much. I had a lot of worry and a fair amount of anger (mostly aimed at my ex). I dropped them both and am making great strides.

When you wrote “that answer was helpful to me” did you mean my initial reply to you or the answer I recently gave to Janice?
BTW; you are right in that the exercises do make many readers have a happier outlook just by the meditation and instructions.
